Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

I spent the brighter portion of my day watching baseball and rugby for three hours, only to come home and discover my face and shoulders have turned cherry red due to a lack of SPF application on my part.  lesson learned.

Dinner at Tai Woo Restaurant included much laughter due to miscommunication over Canadians, Filipino helpers, and Shub working at Crystal Jade in IFC mall.  Along with our dishes of sesame chicken and bean curd platters came spilled tea, toasts to mockery, and Jessie's eight-piece Mainland mooncake set - including the traditional red bean and lotus paste as well as the non-traditional Ham+Nuts, and Seafood mooncake.  We topped off the night with dessert at Yee Shun Milk Company, Jolly Shandy from 7-11, and a walk-around of Victoria park where the locals carry lanterns or deck themselves out in multi-colored glow sticks.

I gave away three of my mooncakes to the security guards in my building.  Two of them tried to teach me Chinese, and now I know my seasons in Cantonese.
